Before the Event
Planning
A few weeks before the broadcast we have a planning session in which to come up with a title and a summary. The title we choose is the saying, assumption or idea you'd like to challenge. (e.g. “It’s the exception that proves the rule”, see Episode 0).
If you have a clear idea of this ahead of time that’s great, but it’s not necessary. It is best if it’s linked to your work in some way. It’s even better if, at the end, there is an offer for those interested to continue the conversation in some way, either with content or direct contact. Some guests find it useful to tie the assumption chosen to a recent product launch.
When we've chosen a topic we will also choose a date a time for the live broadcast. Timing is very flexible, but works well Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday around lunchtime. I work to UK time but can accommodate other timezones as needed!
Once we have had our call I will provide a summary for you to approve/improve. After that, we'll create and share the event.
Marketing
We will publicise the event on matthewbellringer.com, on LinkedIn, on my mailing list, and on YouTube. We’ll use the information you’ve given in planning to put this material together. You are encouraged to share that you will be appearing on the show with your audience too. If you'd like any of the branding stuff we use in the show to do this, let us know.
You'll be invited as a speaker to the event on LinkedIn. It can work very well to invite your LinkedIn to this event, though please only invite people you think will be interested!
