Aggregating Notes
Bringing together notes from different places to create summaries is a really helpful way to keep track of widely-spread items.
You can do that in one of two ways:
- Collections
- These create a summary in "blog" style of a range of notes with a hierarchy. You can skip levels and sort by date.
- References
- These allow you cite a note, or sections of a note, embedded in another note.
- These are wildcard-able, so you can reference all child-items of a given note.
- You can reference sections of a note; from a specific heading
- You can define a range by specifying another heading to end at
- These allow you cite a note, or sections of a note, embedded in another note.
Both of these approaches are filterable by position in hierarchy. This means, though, that to collect a give type of notes you need a consistent schema for the sub-types.
